On 21st February 2024, Chao Kuang Piu College (CKPC) organized a “Fantasy Tour: Visit to the Macau International Airport” activity for 30 students and tutors. During the activity, representatives from the Macau International Airport Company Limited gave a presentation on the development of Macau International Airport and its operation. At the same time, participants were given a tour of the airport apron and learned about the service facilities of the Passenger Terminal Building, thus gaining a better understanding of Macau’s public service organizations. Besides, to deepen the student’s knowledge of the “Basic Law of Macau” and understanding the connection between the Basic Law and themselves, the College also prepared a Q&A session on the “Basic Law of Macau” about the freedom of traveling and studying, which received enthusiastic responses from the participants.

Student HO, one of the participants, said that he had visited the airport several times for travel purposes before. This activity gave him a memorable opportunity to learn about the behind-the-scenes process of the operation of Macau International Airport and use the other viewpoint to walk around the airport that he never discovered. He also looks forward to more opportunities to visit other public service facilities in Macau.

The Fantasy Tour series is one of the main activities of CKPC, through visits to laboratories, private enterprises, and historical and cultural landmarks of public organizations, not only engaging residents in direction exchanges, gaining first-hand experiences on-site and acquiring knowledge from practice, but also enhancing their cultivation of seven learning competencies, including knowledge integration and cultural engagement.
