On January 8, 2024, the Special Education Needs Support Service Center of City University of Hong Kong took 22 students to visit the University of Macau for exchange and exploration. The enthusiastic assistance of the leaders from Chao Kuang Piu College greatly facilitated the visit, as they guided our students to explore the college’s life and activities.
During this visit, we specially invited student U Seng Chin as a guest speaker to prepare a sharing session for the students. During the session, U Seng Chin shared his learning and life experiences at the university, as well as his positive and optimistic attitude in the face of difficulties as a person with disabilities. Meanwhile, participants actively asked questions to U Seng Chin. Some students asked about the most difficult moments in his lives and how he overcame them. The answers given by U Seng Chin were thought-provoking and enlightening, and were applauded by the participants.
This sharing session provided great inspiration to the students. Through U Seng Chin’s story, they deeply realized that everyone has the ability to overcome difficulties. They also learned to cherish their healthy bodies and freedom, as well as to be grateful for every opportunity to express themselves freely.
The Special Education Needs Support Service Center of City University of Hong Kong expresses heartfelt gratitude to the leaders of Chao Kuang Piu College for their assistance and to the University of Macau for their warm reception.
