Tachyon Band
Tachyon Band is the second student band established by college students in 2021. The name “Tachyon” is inspired by a hypothetical particle in theoretical physics that is believed to travel faster than light. It represents the students’ aspiration to push boundaries, embrace innovation, and explore the future. Just as the nearest exoplanet is about four light years away from our solar system, riding on a “tachyon” might one day allow us to reach distant worlds faster, symbolizing limitless exploration and imagination.

“天外行星”樂隊
在遙遠的星空深處，也許存在一顆與地球相似的行星，擁有智慧生命與屬於他們的音樂。我們稱之為「天外行星」。透過音樂，我們撥動琴弦，將激情、創意與愛心傳遞到宇宙的彼岸，向繁星傳達來自地球青年的聲音。
「天外行星」樂隊於2017年成立，是書院的第一支學生樂隊。自創團以來，樂隊不僅在校內活動中演出，也多次代表曹光彪書院參與院際比賽與公開表演，展現書院學生的多元才華與團隊精神。
Exoplanet Band
In the depths of space, far beyond our solar system, there may exist a planet much like Earth—home to intelligent life and their own music. We call it the Exoplanet. Through music, we strum our instruments to send passion, creativity, and love across the vastness of space, reaching out to the distant stars with the voices of young dreamers from Earth.
Formed in 2017, the Exoplanet Band is the first student band of the college. Since its founding, the band has performed not only at college events, but also represented CKPC in inter-college competitions and public performances, showcasing the diverse talents and spirit of the college community.
