曹光彪書院於9月份在書院“廚神作坊”舉辦了10場健康美食烹飪班,每星期教做一道美食,並分享相關的文化背景,吸引了近150人次參加,每星期一開始報名時,都出現“秒殺”狀況,不少慢報的同學,只能被放在等候名單。

菜色中最有趣的莫過於法國薄餅,連來自波蘭的交換生也做得興高采烈。其他特色菜的包括: 薯蓉馬介休(健康版本)、甜菜根藜麥沙拉(創新系列)、和烤紅豆糕(中西合璧)。同學們幾乎都是第一次接觸這些菜色,蒙尼卡老師也順便介紹其文化背景,健康煮食方法,和使用廚神作坊的基本常識。

CKPC hosted 10 sessions of healthy cooking classes in September.  Each Wednesday and Saturday, about 15 students gathered in CKPC’s Master Kitchen to learn a new gourmet dish. Every Monday around noon, CKPC students rushed to sign up for the classes.  Some did it a bit late and were put on waiting list.

Among the dishes, the most popular one was French crepe, which drew great attention from all participants, including one exchange student from Poland.  Other selected dishes included: Salted Cod and Potato Casserole (Bacalhau à Zé do Pipo), beet quinoa salad with balsamic vinegar, and Baked Sweet Rice Cake with Red Bean Paste.  For nearly all participating students, it was their first time trying those dishes.  Teacher Monica also introduced some of the cultural background for the dishes, as well as healthy cooking style and basics on using the Master Kitchen.
